History
AUS-PHIL BizDev Partner is a start-up founded on December 15, 2019, in Adelaide, South Australia, by Mario Ramon Gatus, an Australian citizen and former Philippine-based banker and entrepreneur. The venture aims to strengthen linkages between Australian and Philippine businesses to facilitate trade and commerce expansion.
Mario's motivation to establish AUS-PHIL BizDev Partner stemmed from his desire to leverage his extensive banking and business experience in the Philippines. He envisioned creating synergies that would benefit both countries. Initially, the focus was on identifying areas of strength in the Philippines and matching them with Australian firms, and vice versa. However, in response to global food supply challenges and inflation, the focus shifted to enhancing food security in the Philippines through Australian technology.
Mario Ramon Z. Gatus, Business Development Director, Founder
Mario co-founded and previously served as CEO of Philippine-based New Ventures Capital Partners Holdings, Inc. As a professional manager, Mario has extensive experience in the Philippine financial services sector, having headed the Marketing Group of Sterling Bank of Asia, the New Business Initiatives and Special Projects Group of i-Pay Commerce Ventures, Inc., and the Cash Management Products and Solutions Department of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, a universal bank. Mario received a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, specializing in Entrepreneurial Management, from the University of Asia and the Pacific in 1996.
As an immigrant in Adelaide, South Australia, Mario was involved with Northern Volunteering SA as Referral Officer; Telstra Inbound Sales Team member at TSA Group; Customer Contact Centre Officer at SA Water; and Kitchen Hand/Kitchen Steward with HCT Salisbury (Saints Kitchen) and SkyCity Entertainment Group – Adelaide.
Daniel R. Francisco, CPA, Business Development Director, Philippines
Daniel has extensive senior management experience in various public and private corporations. Daniel is currently CEO, board member and shareholder of New Ventures Capital Partners Holdings, Inc. Other positions he has held are as follows:
Chief Operating Officer, Techno Time Retailers Corporation; Chief Operating Officer, Linear Group, Philippines, Inc.; President, Fruitilicious, Inc.; President, Heppy Corp.; Vice President for Business Development and Strategic Initiatives, Agrinurture, Inc.; President, The Big Chill, Inc.; General Manager, Tully’s Coffee Philippines; President, People eServe Corporation. Daniel received a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from De La Salle University.
